The 12 pack was $4 on Woot on the 22nd. I bought 2 for 8 bucks total.

These batteries have never let me down. I used to buy Eneloops from Costco but it's just not worth the price difference.
I have also had a good experience with Powerowl brand from Amazon.

I've never had any Eneloop die in less than 5 years. I've had at least 10 of these Amazon basics AAA fail to charge within a single year. And 3 of which couldn't take a charge straight out of the package.
And most eneloops will keep some charge for literally 10+ years. These Amazon batteries are fine for non mission critical tasks and for those that are ok with a limited life span. But they are no longer anywhere close to Eneloop quality.

I've had a similar experience. These batteries failed very quick. Half of them refuse to charge after less than a year.

I have used Eneloops which I got when I bought a remote control whre the seller forgot to take out.

That was over 10 years ago, and they are still going strong.

I agree, I have one that has never been used that won't charge. If you get this I recommend not trusting it is going to work out of the box.
