FYI,
  • The processor is identical to the old AMD Ryzen 5 5625U (2022)... Only renamed to sound like its a newer chip.
  • 6 core / 12 thread
  • Radeon RX Vega 7 integrated graphics card (now only called Radeon Graphics) with 7 CUs at up to 1800 MHz.

the L1 and L2 cache are larger resulting in a modest 8% improved performance
L1 cache 384 KB vs 64K (per core)
L2 cache 3 MB vs 512K (per core)
L3 cache 16 MB vs 16 MB (shared)

I'd pull the trigger on this if it was being sold on Amazon/another reputable retail website. When dealing with these mini PC's you really want a solid return policy.

Is the ram upgradeable? I.may bite as I have an older NUC, I can donate parts from that has a Ultra loud problematic fan.

I bought this exact mini pc the other day on Amazon (with my business account and some coupons for $225 total) and so far I like it. Snappy, I like the abundance of USB ports, and I think its fan is also fairly quiet.
It's almost almost overkill for what I'll be using it for (astrophotography running NINA) but for the price of an N processor system (with my coupons and discount) I just couldn't pass it on.

Pulled the trigger on this and I "think" I got the last one in stock.*

Will do nicely to replace my decade old i7 full tower PC and let me repurpose that with a bunch of spinners (in a raid 10 or zpool) for file storage. A complaint I saw on AZ from November said their in the description (back then) it came with an M2 nvme.

Reviewer stated: "this model does NOT come with an NVMe SSD, but with a SATA version." I did double check this from them before adding to my cart.

Honestly this fits my needs better as I have several M2 nvme drives in my stash. I'll use the included M2 SSD for a Win11 OS that I'll rarely use and plop in an M2 nvme disk for Linux. Fingers crossed this plays out

*According to their website: "last one, better hurry," I'm not sure if that's BS or not.

Order went through, so we shall see. For $250 it's worth a shot

They're the same.
Official AMD website specs for both.
