As noted above, these are very thin/breathable, which can be good or bad. I have three I use when I'm going to do a sweaty workout and don't want to drench my car seat afterward. Do the workout, towel off, and put on one of these. They pack light, and if one does snag/tear, I paid less than $10 for it (though I've used them for almost a year and haven't had any issues).

I don't recommend these for on-field use.
