I have a pair of these and can not wear them due to the horrible seam above the heel. I have tried them with some dive socks, as I bought them for snorkeling/diving trips, but the thin ones I use for full foot fins don't help. Thicker 2-3mm neoprene socks don't allow my foot to fit in the shoe.

Where did the $70 come from? Amazon says $19.99 is their regular price on 'em.

I had the same issue, but with the tongue of the shoe.

its a shame how poorly designed this shoe is because the sole is actually very gummy, but the cage makes it feel like my feet are in an uncomfortable dungeon

For me, I actually really love these shoes! They are super cushion-y and comfortable. I've used them in and out of the water and it's been solid.

I have purchased these several times because they have worn out on me. I use them as a daily wear shoe and they look decent. They are cold in the winter due to the holes. They look good until worn out (navy color at least). What fails on me is the sole eventually develops holes. I also get good use out of these on muddy hikes. Rinse under faucet and dry overnight.
Not as comfy as real Crocs. Totally different non squishy sole. More constricting sneaker feel.
They really shine for me when I am on a cruise and hike to the beach. I do good mileage frequently putting in more than 10 miles before heading back to the boat. I don't sunbathe at the beach so when I climb out of the water I am dripping wet and usually wearing rashguard type swimwear that stays wet for a while to stay cool. I have hiked multiple miles on city streets with wet feet and no socks and these shoes. No chafing or blisters for me. Other shoes don't do well wet or sandy and I didn't want to carry anything other than a bottle of water. I can't walk more than a half mile in flip flops comfortably. Teva type sandals have started chafing at the fabric strap for me when wet. I made it in Norway on a wet via ferrata with these and then an "easy/moderate" muddy hike that required a chain at one point. Rinsed off and showed up at dinner in them (I don't like to check bags either... Sometimes this is the only shoe I bring on a trip)
YMMV of course but at this price I would go for them. I personally am not sure about the white color though!
