Because for a PORTABLE power pack, I want it to take up as little space as possible for its' output, and I don't want or need a cord that long usually. If I do, I'll pull out any of my many 1/2-1 meter cords. For packs like these, I prefer a 6-8" cord to plug it into a phone and hold it behind it while charging.

The cable system looks like it takes up 30-40% of the size.

That said, if it had had a Lightning end on it, 10000mAh for that price would have been tempting.

The code still seems to be working, BTW. I threw it in my cart to test.

The pics say it is 2.28" wide, which is too short for 18650s sideways. It is 4.02" long, but the cable/retractor shows as filling the space behind the entire display area, and the length left is shorter than the width.
