Pretty amazing price for what you are getting (2.8K 120hz OLED touchscreen, strong AMD Strix Point HX365 processor). I myself was daily driving this since its launch back in August 2024 which I guess in tech years is an eternity already, but have since moved to a ProArt P16 5090. Overall the zenbook s16 is a very nice laptop but it does get warm under load, which is expected for a laptop so thin and light.

The funny thing is the AMD refresh HX 400 series (ie 465) supposedly offers very little in the way of performance improvements which shows you have things have sort of stagnated on AMD side while Intel is lighting the world afire with their comeback Panther Lake chips...

Thing is those Panther Laptops will not be cheap, especially with the RAM and SSD prices as they are. So relatively speaking, 1K flat for a nice OLED with modern gen proccessor is a bargain indeed.

Yep, and I picked one up that still had the cling plastic on the lid and screen. It's a great laptop but the open box goes on amazing sale often enough that, to me, is worth waiting for.

How's the laptop performing for you? I was skeptical to grab one cause people on Reddit were complaining about overheating issues

It's been great. I had one early on and the fans were on all the time. I returned it. Over time, I'd read that ASUS made some adjustments (basically turning things down just a bit) and now it's mostly silent. Night and day. I'm not a huge fan of white notebooks, but apart from that, everything else is amazing. The thinness and the Ceraluminum coating makes it look rich.

Yes. The prices of open box change often. Right now, they're not that great, but when BB decides to lower them to ridiculously low prices, you typically will see them posted here.

I'm glad to hear that. I guess I'll hold out, hopefully they discount it in the near future

Regular price. Been this price at multiple places, such as micro center, etc.
It's been as low as $849-$899.

MC doesn't for over 90% of the people.

Anyone has the direct BB link?
