I used it for an 1/2 hr with no problems. The remote came with AA Duracell batteries at 80% (they recommend replacing). I had to add my own AA batteries inside the kart as there weren't any in it.

I got this for my nephew a few years back. It was really cool but broke fast. Pretty sure I paid $25. Reg retail was $50. Not sure where this $100 comes from.
