What's the use case for something like this?

My AirTag batteries last at least a year as is with daily use.

These are typically used with Lithium batteries which means they'll last for a long time and making them less susceptible to cold temperatures. You hide it in your car so that a thief can't find it. Also, you mod your AirTag so that it no longer beeps which means if someone tries to find it after receiving notification that "an AirTag is following you". You can find instructions on how to do this on Ebay. I did it and it was stupidly easy to do.

Weld a small box to the frame of your expensive car, this inside, cheap 10 year lojack. Same concept with anything you want to know where it is for the next 10 years and never worry about battery, etc.

I have a small storage locker that I visit very infrequently and I put one in one of the boxes I have in there.
