I'm not even sure how you receive spoiled product of this.

It doesn't even require refrigeration.

Dont confuse this with Sambal Oelek. Sambal is less vinegary and easier to eat straight up. Try adding Sambal to your ketchup when eating fries, its a game changer!

Heat ruins food products even canned goods. And during the summer time Amazon deliveries at least where I live are baking hot so I'd imagine food would spoil even if sealed properly and not tempered with.

That or the person got a bad batch and bad luck.

Here is my review at amazon that was tuned down:

I've open new bottle that just came in recent shipment right next to the bottle from previous shipment which was almost finished. The differences were obvious: the color of product of was not bright red as normal, but darker brown. It had strong filthy smell not found from old bottle. The taste was also strange. The seal on new bottle was intact, the expiration date was in 2027.
And btw, here is response from amazon:

We couldn't post your review because it focuses on one or more of these topics:

  • Sellers
  • Delivery
  • Packaging
  • Pricing
  • Availability

Why isn't that allowed?
These aspects vary by order and won't be relevant to all customers. That said, we want your feedback about sellers and packaging, just not in product reviews.

Please edit and resubmit your review. Before you do, make sure it meets all of our community guidelines.

Great, since when does Amazon police non offensive reviews? I see people giving products bad reviews because of drive handling all the time. Bad news if they're going to start shooting things down for no good reason.
Knowing they may be selling spoiled product is perfectly relevant.

I won't buy Huy Fong products after what they did to the Underwood family ranch. If you know you know.
Boo Hoo --- Worked out VERY WELL for the Underwood family
A jury sided with Underwood, awarding them $13.3 million in compensatory damages and $10 million in punitive damages.
and they created their own Sriracha brand --
