The Anker 6 ft 240w cables with 90 degree end are 2 for $16 but sometimes drop to $8-9.

price too high usually with other brands you get 3 for this price
Negative. Those cables don't support video, fast data, or very fast charging. Most of them tend to break in a few months of use as well.

Those are great, certified cables but you're comparing apples and oranges. Those are only capable of USB 2.0 480Mbps. This Amazon Basics cable is certified for USB4/Thunderbolt 40Gbps

This cable works for fast charging and date on android. Has issues with iP16PM on data and staying connected. Have 2 of these cables and was given 2 replacements. Clearly apple doesn't like these cables

Charge and data sync, or just charge?
Using this cable for "just charge" is a waste of money. Amazon sells other brands of 240 PD fast charging cables for $5 each. The reason this cable is still a good deal at $10 is fast data speeds.

Can this be used for iphone 17 charging?
Won't charge your iphone any faster than a 100 watt PD charging cable that costs $3.

This cable should be the standard. It is annoying how many cheapo usbc cables are out there. Yes it can be overkill in some instances, but it isn't really that expensive to make this the standard and if we made this the standard economies of scale would actually decrease the price.

Seems more likely to me that there's something up with your device. Have you checked to make sure there's no lint or gunk in the receptacle?

Apple's diagnostic says its the cable.....
My android has no issues with either function.

Is there any markings on this cable to distinguish it from others? I have some fancy cables mixed in with some slower generic ones that I cant tell apart. They should color code the better ones.

If you zoom in you can see that it has a stamping of the official USB4 40 Gbps / 240W icons.

There is no other 3.3ft certified 40Gbps cable that I'm aware of for this price, and it is a top-tier cable.

Good price for an excellent cable though you can get TB5/USB 4v2 for a few bucks more if you want to futureproof, or you can wait for this to hit Woot clearance.
There was a targeted offer for $4 a few times around half a year ago but seems like most weren't eligible.
