Not bad if you don't want hot spot, otherwise another $60. 15gb is $125 which is also good but not hotspot again. The 20gb for $175 includes it though. The 500 mms/mo cap is surprising. I didn't think any providers capped mms anymore.

Agree. This deal doesn't fit everyone needs. For me great 2nd business line.

I noticed that it says 500mms messages, I probably don't text that much anyway, but aren't the majority of texts MMS these days?

RCS is catching up, but you are right -- you will most likely not use up 500mms

Tax of $18 was added, which is too much. Does anyone know how to recharge the 15GB $125 plan? It shows $150 for me when I try to recharge.

MMS is if the message contains low quality media, I would say most messages are SMS if it doesn't contain media and is a simple text message or RCS if the platform is supported between the phones and the carrier.

If youre receiving messages on an android phone from iMessage, it will often be received as MMS. But this is a very specific and shrinking group, especially with RCS being built into ios18 and default for google messages.

If you use FB messenger, whatsapp, signal, etc...then it just sends as data.

I understand this won't provide hotspot functionality in a phone….but would it work to provide data for an iPad? Or how about if it was installed directly in a standalone hotspot?

I also thought the 500 MMS per month was strange. I've been using RCS through Google messages for quite a while now so I think maybe I don't use very many if any SMS/MMS. I checked my usage in the app at the end of my first month and it showed I hadn't used any SMS at all , so I think all of my messages went through RCS and didn't count towards that at all. The app doesn't even show your MMS usage or how many you have remaining which seems very strange given the low limit. It also doesn't show when each month ends, it only shows when you're one year starts and ends.

I was offered both(Verizon and T-mobile). I choose Verizon, it is better in my area. Depends what phone you have. Use the compatibility checker. It will tell you which network your phone can use on their service.
