It's just a polycarbonate lens and should be perfectly fine. The mineral lenses are a bit more of a pleasure to look through optically but are less shatter resistant. Per the website the green would be better for full sun and blue may be better at slightly overcast days. I subjectivity prefer amber or green lens just because.

No. One pair came in a black box with a zippered soft case the other came in cardboard box, no plastic wrap though there was a microfiber drawstring bag in the box.

I'm sending them both back. Just not convinced they're legit.

Not correct. Glass harder to scratch. Are you sure the lenses you had were glass?
