Nah, it's roasted to hell. These terms are relative, a specialty roaster "dark" is significantly less roasted than this "medium". Properly roasted coffee has no bitterness, with complex notes like citrus, or cocoa, or honey, or floral, or chocolate.
I know it's expensive, but I would encourage you to try an ethiopian or colombian bean from a local small batch roaster - often they serve it in store, and you can sit down and try a cup. It's like the difference between a frozen box pizza from Walmart and a freshly baked neapolitan straight out of a 100 year old italian oven.

I'm currently drinking a Super Crema latte and it's OK, but I strongly believe that Lavazza Espresso [amazon.com] tastes better. It's also cheaper right now.
