Have you bought from BJs lately? I always got their Columbia whole bean...would stock up when there were coupons. 40oz bag is all the way up to $19.99 now! This is a good deal.
From my reciept at BJS last week. 40Oz at 16.99 works out to 6.8$/lb. Mayorga at Costco comes on sale for slightly lower, its organic.

Starbucks FR Whole Bean at BJs - 40Oz at 16.99. Organic Mayorga at Costco comes cheaper.

Nah, it's roasted to hell. These terms are relative, a specialty roaster "dark" is significantly less roasted than this "medium". Properly roasted coffee has no bitterness, with complex notes like citrus, or cocoa, or honey, or floral, or chocolate.

I know it's expensive, but I would encourage you to try an ethiopian or colombian bean from a local small batch roaster - often they serve it in store, and you can sit down and try a cup. It's like the difference between a frozen box pizza from Walmart and a freshly baked neapolitan straight out of a 100 year old italian oven.
going tomorrow thanks

I actually have my own small batch roasting machine, i.e the Gene Cafe, and have roasted both Columbian and Ethiopian coffee. No doubt it's good stuff.

I got my order. Roasted date is November 2025 so it is about 2 months out.
That's about as old a bean as I'd use for espresso. Beware on sale espresso beans...

How does this compare to Gran Créma @ Costco?

Pro tip: throw the bag in your freezer to prolong freshness.

It's similar but not quite as good.

I'm currently drinking a Super Crema latte and it's OK, but I strongly believe that Lavazza Espresso [amazon.com] tastes better. It's also cheaper right now.

Great price, terrible coffee (unless you like the taste burnt caramel).

Would this be similar to Nespresso capsules taste? All the beans that we buy, my wife says it doesn't taste as good as Nespresso. So they all go to waste. Sorry, I don't drink coffee so this might be comparing apple to oranges. Thanks

Just looks like a really good deal for a decent coffee brand.
