First i don't even know how useful or functional these devices are.

But how is this different than a $40 one that claims to do the same things or this one https://a.co/d/5Um3Gqt at $80 which appears to be the same device almost. Is it because no subscription needed?

These are basically all just simple recorders that use proprietary software with a ChatGPT base to synthesize what it hears. None work all that well and this is way over priced. Also none actually require a subscription since they are all just recorders. The bee recorder is 50 dollars and works well IMO.
