It can be useful, but I found all the holes on it to limit the value for me. Anything small will fall out of stock out the holes. Bought some for a car to hold small stuff and they were so light that they just tip over. For a desk, you can't really using it for scissors/pens/etc.. because of the open space and the holes.. even for pet toys it's just kind of too small to hold more than a few very small ones. I'm not really sure what it's good for.

It can be useful, but I found all the holes on it to limit the value for me. Anything small will fall out of stock out the holes. Bought some for a car to hold small stuff and they were so light that they just tip over. If I spill my shampoo or body wash in it I simply wash it clean, thanks to the holes in it wind will dry it quickly.
