This is still a great deal for a C series OLED (2024) .. The newer C5 gets slightly brighter per rtings:

"The LG C4 OLED and the LG C5 OLED are very similar overall, but the C5 is noticeably brighter. Due to this extra brightness, the C5 fights more glare in a well-lit room, displays brighter highlights in HDR content, and has better color volume. One advantage the C4 has is that it supports DTS audio passthrough, making it more compatible if you don't have a receiver or soundbar with HDMI inputs."

I posted that deal .. it is very rare to see any C series oled under $1600. Only happens a couple times a year. And that C5 deal expired after like a day. I don't expect to see the C5 under $1600 again.

We will absolutely see the C5 under 1600 again. The OP is a good deal for someone who wants an OLED right now, but the price pressure on OLEDs is insane. We've seen C4s for under 1300; the C5 will be that price on promotion soon enough.

There was a $1430 price but that was open box. Sure we will see the C5 under $1600 again but when it's older like this tv is now. It's a rare occurrence for any newish C series dropping under $1600. Unless you qualify for LG partner program.
