Harbor Freight's version is $2.79, and their 12-in version is $4.99

The Harbor Freight ones are garbage. I have a bunch of them and a handful of the Irwin clamps. I always go for the Irwin ones when I need to do something. The Harbor Freight ones bend and don't hold nearly as well. I'm all for buying cheaper/generic versions of tools but in the case of these style clamps, there's no comparison.

Dewalt has a 2-pack for $11 at Home Depot so what's the advantage of this brand other than the high price?

The Dewalt set I see for that price does not have the same clamping pressure and throat depth.

Why would you want this? The general idea, yes, I own some. But the length of the bar has little effect on the cost, why would I want to buy such short ones?
I own various kinds and sizes of clamps as I do some woodworking. Generally I choose the shortest clamp that can do the job I need. I started with the longer clams as they can be used in more scenarios, but gradually added shorter ones as they are way more convenient. These particular ones I use a lot as hold-downs in my table that has 3/4 inch holes.

Agree the Bremen versions are excellent. The regular HF versions are several steps below terrible

Nice. I have two from eons ago but have wanted four. I had two of the really long ones but lost one (probably narrowed). Miss that one.

So for a light user, would you get the HF Bremen or this one?
Or does it really make a difference? Might get a 15-20% coupon discount at HF, but these are delivered to my door (and 5% off for my Amazon card).
But in all truthfulness, the cheap Pittsburg would probably do what I need. This style is what I currently use once every year or so for stuff:

not sure how this is a great (or good deal) it was only yesterday when there was a three or four pack of these "larger" bar clamps that also included the smaller set of hand clamps

If my memory serves me right, it was something like 17 or 18 at Menards too.

These are great for smaller projects. I have four of them and they have held up nicely.

Those are about 100-150 pounds of force whereas this Irwin is 300. The Breman from harbor freight is 375 pounds and is a closer comparison - also sells at $8.99 for the 6in
Bremen are 30% off this weekend so you can buy a 24" Bremen for the same price as one of these Irwin's

Those are the light duty clamps and dont include reversable heads. That pack is a fine set, but not really the same product.

I've picked up four of the Irwin clamps on clearance the last couple weeks for $15 each. Best clamps I've ever had. QUICK-GRIP 24-in Hybrid Clamps 300-lb Trigger / Bar Clamp https://www.lowes.com/pd/IRWIN-Qu...5014467931
