Yup. This is very common on millennials who picked up a tongs for the first time during the pandemic. Clean it, season it, don't let moisture get trapped and it won't rust.

I have a steel barrel pellet grill from Woot 8 years ago. Guess what? No rust. Must be the grill, right?

I've been eyeing this and the Kamado Joe Konnected for a few seasons. The Joe will never be in this price range so this is great value grill. Was able to snag the last one. Thank you OP!!!!

If and when the computer fails. You can replace it with a Fireboard drive and it will be so much better. You can use the thermometer probes, and it controls the fan.
