They do returns easily. Amazon owns Woot.

285k is very power hungry and inefficient tho...wished it had 9800x3d or at least a 7800x3d very efficient and better at gaming.

I'm considering his other post:
$1,849.99 9700X + 5070ti, 2tb M.2 NVMe Gen4 SSD, 64GB DDR5 6000 (2 x 32GB), Windows 11 Home

Is 9700x or even 9900x significantly better at productivity tasks than a 9800x3D?

Wondering if 9700x is a better all-rounder cpu? I suppose 285k is the best all-rounder cpu, but at the cost of extra TDP/power consumption.

The 9700x and 9800x3d are typically the same at productivity. The 9900x is better at productivity, but the downsides of the dual ccd design make it a bit of a niche product that is hard to justify. Imo all the way to a 9950 or stick with 9700 unless you are doing VM work. The 10800x3d should be the new sweet spot with the new core counts, but that is a ways off.

what are the odds this comes in with missing ram or a swapped 2070 video card lol?
Kind of tempting.

Low. Woot is basically amazon. Easy returns if it does happen.

can confirm, have returned stuff to woot with no issues.. also amazon just settled a class action lawsuit because they skimped out on some returns back in the day, so they're investing $300m or so to make sure they process returns accurately. if you bought anything from amazon after 2017 you might qualify for a payment in the class action settlement

Woot is absolute trash with shitty return policies. Thats where amazon purges all of the junk it doesnt want to deal with.

Not a bad deal if it was amazon direct. Woot sells junk though and 3rd party support. This ram, hd, and GPU will no doubt be the absolute cheapest bottom of the barrel.
