This seems like a really good deal for that capacity or am I missing something?

Anyone know if this better than the Anker C1000 for the price?

Do they still offer 10 year warranty on refurbs?

FYI: there's a trick to get direct access to the 48V battery on Ecoflows: a 1kΩ jumper between pins 4 & 5 on the Aux battery port will enable the relays to the batteries. It's good if you want to use your own external higher power MPPT charge controller or Inverter or external 48V add-on batteries. Personally I'm hooking it up to a 25A DC-DC lab power supply... when I get time.

Also, the XT60 connector has an extra pin that tells it if the device is 8A or less (car charger) or up to 16A (solar). You either need to shell out for ecoflow branded cables or you can make XT60 adapters that jump the sense pin to + or - for whatever devices and cables you plug in.

Finally, most household 120VAC devices are limited to 12A, or 1,440W for continuous use and 15A or 1800W for short-term use. That means that this will power pretty much anything, even a level 1 electric car charger. Of course it can only run those high power devices for like an hour. Charging an electric car for an hour is good for like 4 or 5 miles. Running a heater for an hour is better than nothing in a power failure, but you're better off powering the ventilation fan and starter on a propane heater that will last for many hours or days.

50% more power and about the same price the C1000 was on sale for.

I'm assuming they don't replace the batteries on these refurbs and we're taking a risk on battery health/remaining capacity?

I'd take the extra 500wh on a refurb and hope it continues working beyond the 1 year warranty.

My air fryer pulls around 1500w so a bit less than an hour of runtime given AC inverter inefficiencies.

I bought a refurb River 2 and it seemed like new. A little weird that it was on 1.000 firmware when 3.0+ was available to install. Overall I'm pretty happy with it though, especially the app controls. Someone mentioned the special XT60i connecter needed to determine if it should limit amps for car batteries or be wide open for solar. Since that's selectable for the dc port in the app I wonder if that would override the need for it. Regardless, there are non branded cables that already have the signal pin for this...I got a 25ft on Amazon for $27.

Yes, but keep in mind that this version of the unit is really just over a year old, so even if used every day, filled and emptied to the max, it should only be down 2-3% at most. These are rated for 4,000 of those cycles before they hit 80% capacity.

Refurbs are tested and warrantied, so it's not much of a risk, but the chances of a lemon are higher than new.

Looks like the older version with the side fans. Looks like the newer versions don't have those (classic, plus, etc)

I have this, it's basically a Delta 2 with extra capacity and with slightly quieter fans. I've been using it daily for a year now, it works as expected.

My 0.02 the electronics seem to die on these power stations much more commonly than battery cycle issues. As long as you get some warranty I'd call a factory refurb very safe.

I like 2kwh as a min with this size of inverter onboard but this is a great price for what you get, and it can use expansion batts. Safe buy if you are ok with 1,5kwh capacuty.
