Mod chipping isn't easy it's pretty hard to do and only a tiny fraction of people do it. Nintendo isnt hurting because of the .001% of owners who mod chip. Give me a break.

That's a question only you can answer. Look at the top-rated games in the Switch library and see what interests you (if anything).
Pretty open minded when it comes to games, though I stick with single player. Looking mostly at Zelda to start. And I understand it's somewhat a subjective question. Just wanted to get other people's thoughts.

Yeah now that Nintendo had played that hand so many times I really don't feel like having the shitty display just to play a couple mediocre games ( DK looks fun but I'm not dying to play it )
I don't think none of Nintendos first party games are mediocre on switch 2.There aren't to many mediocre games on the platform period you could argue that a lot of the game are older games but non not many of those game are mediocre.Im just stating facts and I own a ps5 with 50 game and 3rds of the top games but I have more with party Nintendo games then any other systems and that's why I buy them.

Same old process as always. YMMV
Unfortunately, I tried this and was denied, as they said it constitutes a membership (even though it's free) and would not honor it. Oh well!

I make a ton of money and buy games I want. I mostly use my modded oled switch for NSO roms and overclocking TOTK (which I own!) is way better on OC hardware. DQ7 which is arriving shortly same thing the 3 remaster was awful without a OC that locked in 720p on handheld

Considering Switch 1 launch price was 299 and Oled model was launched at $349, with the ongoing tariff war with random tariff spikes + switch 2 launch price of 449 + electronics price hike, pretty sure Switch 2 OLED model will launch at $549 or more. Good luck getting one at this rate or cheaper!

Technically you have to live within 25mi of a Microcenter, and the price can't be exclusive to members. You just have to chat with a rep.

What is wrong with you people your condoning his behavior that fact that you think it's cool to steal games is crazy. You do know that is one of the reasons why prices go up as well.

I don't own any consoles at the moment. Out of curiosity, how many games do you guys think it takes to justify buying the Switch 2? I obviously wouldn't spend $400+ just to play one game. Since I don't even have Switch 1, technically even Switch 1 games would be considered "new" to me.
I would go for S2 over S1.
Console pricing is also somewhat irrelevant because you are buying the platform for the games you want to play, not the games for the platform you want to own. You need "something" to play the games you like and that something can only be one platform. But purely deciding on which console, i would say S2 is cheap by comparison, they made alot of improvements over S1 for not much of a difference in price.
What will hurt your pocket is the pricing of their games which is pretty steep if you're going for certain new releases. One game could be as high as $80 (kirby, zelda, mario kart etc) 5 of those games which is not much and your library is as valuable as the console itself if not more valuable. so the question to ask yourself is - do you want to play those exclusive titles and are you okay with paying for those games? if so then theres your answer. If not then apply the same logic to other platforms.

Waiting for a modchip but man I should grab one and just leave it in the box lol
Same, but unfortunately they implemented anti-glitching security in the S2, so it will take a long time for a hack to get developed. Fingers crossed though would love to play Mario Kart World sometime.
Guess I'll stick to Switch 1 games on my chipped OLED for now.

Where to read about that? I'm curious to learn. No Nintendo console has ever not been hacked so it will happen (hopefully)
