How do you get a micro center to open up in your area?

Man, prices are so borked right now. I got their 7700x bundle that had 32 GB of RAM for $358 in August of 2023. This is a worse processor with half as much RAM for $70 more and 2.5 years later.
Long gone are the days where holding off for technology yields a better bang for your buck. I get video cards have been volatile since 2017, but this is nuts.
Thankfully I splurged on an RTX 4070 for $430 (never spent more than $200 on a video card before this one) when I built that computer so as long as nothing goes bad I'm set for a while.

In the grand scheme of things, how is this bundle? Mid or low if I get an additional 16 of RAM? I want to do a build but it seems pretty expensive to get good components

To be fair technology prices have always fluctuated a fair amount. Years ago SSD drives went thru the roof, followed by video cards a few years after that. Now DDR5 ram prices.

I'm sure in a year or two prices will drop back down to normal. This is nothing new.

They still haven't recovered, picked up a 4tb m.2 before those hikes for $145.

You'd have better luck with roulette. The MC in Santa Clara, California closed in 2013 and opened again last year. I can handle a 2ish hour drive to the Bay Area for MC.

This is a good deal even by pre-inflation Black Friday standards.

Non-X3D with 650 went for around $320 then.

MC is so weird in that nobody seems to live close to one lol! I lived close to one when I lived in Dallas and was there 2 or 3 times a week drooling over motherboards and graphics cards. If they moved to better areas.....they would do far better.

Wow so essentially a free CPU and mother board with the purchase of RAM.

they only have 31 locations, so yeah most people don't live near one. I live near 5 in the nyc area which means the rest of the country has only 26.
