In the grand scheme of things, how is this bundle? Mid or low if I get an additional 16 of RAM? I want to do a build but it seems pretty expensive to get good components
the additional ram will cost more than this bundle.

I don't get the impression you're buying, but yes, definitely.
I am looking to upgrade from 9700k. And I live near a MC. What do you suggest that is better value than this?

Okay then, it depends entirely on your need obviously. If gaming primarily, for my customers, it's a 9600X for under $175, and routinely $150, and B650 board in the $100-125 range. That leaves you $180 best case for a 2x8 GB kit, which is easily sourced for less. If you must have 32 GB later, a single 16 GB is still doable, but I'd honestly go for the cheapest used OEM kit you can find on sites the mods would get me for posting. I have a slew of OEM upgrade swaps, and there's still plenty out there, since something like a 2x8 GB 5600 with loose timings isn't completely bought up by scalpers, and AI shoots for 1x16 modules. The 7600X3D is nice, but MC is offering no combo savings here at all. You'd see no real gains with X3D unless you're going RTX 5080 or up, and then why even look at this combo.

But real advice, keep the 9700K setup until the grift is done. Dump your money into the GPU, especially if purchasing a bit further into the year, when there's panic in the DIY market for sales, when memory and storage are much worse to acquire. All the other DIY components are going to see fire sales, leading up until the burst.

I currently have an AM4 machine with a 2600x I need to upgrade. Would you recommend upgrading to AM5 at this point or wait it out for AM4 CPUs to go down in price?

It's all about the GPU for you. The 2600X is, as you know, a fair bit slower than a 9700K, so the GPU you go with defines the rest. Hold with what you have if around a RTX 4060/ RX 7600 XT. Price-wise, an upgrade to a 5800X3D or 5700X3D wasn't viable verses a 9600X even before this mess. So that leaves the 5700X or 5600 SKUs. All are inflated currently new, but there are options. A lot of used AM4 CPU / motherboard combos are finding their way to other sites, stripped of their memory modules, and for cheap. Even a used 5600 would be a nice jump from the 2600X, if paired with around a 9060 XT / 5060 TI, or used equivalent.

Mind messaging me the "ways" to get these parts you are talking about?

I have 9070xt paired with 9700k and experiencing CPU bottleneck. So upgrade is necessary. 9070xt for sure will benefit from 3d cache.

I would rather not buy used ram. I also want it to last 5yr+ if I am doing CPU/MB swap. Just time and efficiency thing. I guess I will go for higher x3d models.

The 9070 XT will not really, I've built several systems for customers recently with it. I have a 7800X3D with a 9070 XT on the bench right now, it's pointless, as I mentioned. Unless you're playing Fortnite at 1080p and trying to do 200 fps, there's 1-2 fps difference in any demanding title between a 9800X3D and even a 5600X with a 9070 XT. I've done the testing, and even a few reviews.

If you want to look at results not using a RTX 4090/5090, Hardware Canucks has a CPU scaling video specifically for the 9070 XT.

I'm only seeing Flare X5 G.Skill in the Micro Center site. Which part number did you swap for to get the bundle to $470?
