We block sales of all technology to Russia because we're essentially in a proxy war with them. I'm not sure if you're being serious here; it's clear that Russia willl use anything they can militarily, and their military is, in fact, using Ubiquiti gear (quite a bit, to believe reports). Anything that helps the Russian war effort hurts us.

Many things in life don't directly impact you at all. That doesn't make doing them any less bad, or wrong.

Yes, that's why I think there are many that believe there's a middle ground here, where Ubiquiti may not deliberately allow their stuff to be sent into Russia, but nonetheless it happens.

Assuming that's right, what do you think Ubiquiti should do ? Or do you think no Ubiquiti gear actually gets to Russia, and this entire event is fake news?

You seem to know a lot about international affairs. Who is this "we" that you speak of? Are we to assume that everyone who reads your comment is part of this "we" who are in a proxy war against Russia? Is no one else able to read SD?

Depends on military application, quantity and history of importing, and a lot of other factors. As I'm sure you're fully aware.

I'm in the USA. Most countries in NATO are blocking sales of technology to Russia and have since the Russian invasion of Ukraine. As this is an English site and most are using American English when writing, I'll go out on a limb and state most users are in the USA. Almost every post here is in USD, so that's a very fair statement. Did you have a point?

It really narrows down how many 2.5G port you need. If you need for 2.5G APs and remaining are all NVR/Cameras, then this will be totally fine. if you need more than 4 2.5G POWs, then Flex probably a better choice.

I had the same dilemma and went with Flex switch option. Happy so far but it is not even a full month yet. Flex switch replaced 8 ports POE 150W switch that supported POE+ only. XGS APs did work with POE+, even without activating POE+ compatibility option but warning messaging about ports not providing enough power were annoying and I wanted to have 10Gb uplink anyway.

Depends on use case really. I thinking of getting this one since it is double the ports, i have no use case for the 10gb uplink, all my equipment is limited to 1gb right now, the pro max gives me some future proofing with 4, 2.5gb ports, and the price difference is not that great with this sale. Got to add $80 for the power supply and $50 for rack mount kit (though i could 3d print that). So $350 vs $260-310. Is $40-$90 of saving worth half the ports but more 2.5gb ports?
