I had four phones on total Wireless they all joined at different times so I paid four different times of the month. Total Wireless consolidated the four payments into one, in a new single once a month payment plan. It's fine it's what other companies have done, if they do it right. To do it right they would either needed to prorate my bill so I'm not paying for the same days that I had already paid for, or just eat the cost. They chose to make me pay for the same days that I'd already paid for. For example I already paid on the first for the entire month then on the 15th they charged me for an entire month again. When I called customer service the only thing they could do was apologize, I even got apologized to by a manager. During that call I handed my wife the phone and I called my credit card company explain the situation and got a credit back to my card. After that call with the credit card company my wife was still being apologized to by total Wireless. I promised three things to the guy apologizing to me. Number one I will get my money back, number two I will leave their company, and number three I will share my story with as many people that'll listen. I fulfilled my promise.
Also I recommend staying away from this company unless you're technical because basically there's no customer service or support, so you're on your own.
My point is if you get this service you are on your own.

Customer service was good as well.
I don't know much about big events prioritization since you know Utah is kind of boring and not many big events couple times I see a bit slow internet speeds but for the price I was honestly doesn't start with big expectations anyway
Base 5G Unlimited Deprioritized Standard 5G (No Ultra Wideband)
If you are on the Total 5G or Total 5G+ plans, you are not deprioritized.
It all depends on the qci/prioritization level of the plan you're on. Mvno's do not automatic have worse service/qci than the major carrier plans.
Verizon for example, even admits that some of their plans are deprioritized.
I've been out of the loop for the last year or so on this stuff, but some things to look for are things like "premium data" with Mvno's which indicates a better qci which isn't deprioritized. The wording in the attached screenshot also indicates a deprioritized plan, higher (worse) # qci plan.

Another caveat, if you had purchased your phone through ANY tracfone brand (inc total) in the past they will 100% NOT allow you to use the BYOP so your phone MUST be from outside TF brand (TF, ppc, total, etc). There is no time limitation on this whatsoever, so be warned.
