Because this is only a battery. You need inverter and more parts to make it like an EcoFlow.

Everything runs through this [eco-worthy.com] inverter. It takes up to 500V of solar input and I have 13x410w panels that gets me right up to about 480 or 490V, so I'm at the limit for what I can hook up to this. Peak production I've seen was very briefly ~4.8KW with ~4.4KW being the highest sustained charge rate I have seen so far. The 4S2P battery setup has each bank running to a bus bar and then bus bar to the inverter. It's grid capable as well for those looking to hook into that, but I have no experience with that. I also ditched the included wifi module because it's limited to using a very crappy app that was a huge pain to get set up. Instead I have a Raspberry Pi hooked up via USB running Solar Assistant which was super easy to setup and allows me to monitor the system from anywhere.

Look at the size of the switch and display relative to the size of the battery. There's no way that's 100AH. I've got one that's almost exactly like that, but maybe 1/3 smaller in size. It's labelled capacity is 7AH. The dimensions in the listing are 4 x 4 x 6. Mine is 2.5 x 4 x 6. There's no current battery chemistry that has an energy density that high. They are counting on the fact that, since it's likely shipped from China, you're not going to put up the money to return it (especially since it's a battery and require special handling). They might offer you 50% of your money back, and they still win because that battery is worth about $25.

The last two I bought were from a previous AliExpress deal. These are being sold by Eco-Worthy directly and they were shipped from a warehouse in southern California.

Love the thought of solar with electric prices 3x the cost as fall. But...... the government loves to haze the skies so much you will only get 10% rated solar through the clouds 247. NY forgot that they cloud seed 247 and also invest in solar.

AliExpress doesn't make it easy to get your money back. It's a PITA, especially if the seller doesn't agree to a refund, but eventually they will arbitrate and you'll get your money back if you can present a decent case. Usually requires pics and a lot of explanation to convince them you deserve a refund. But yeah, AliExpress is a big company that does a lot of US business, they don't want to get a bad reputation with US customers.

Has anyone else noticed an incorrect sales tax rate? I ordered the same batteyy a few months ago and it charged the correct rate of 6%. This order ticket shows "Additonal charges" aka sales tax at about a 9.2% rate. I've been on 4 chats with CS and they keep going back to copy/paste boilerplate about tariffs and other taxes, even though I've pointed out that this is shipped within the US, so no tariffs or other taxes apply. I asked to escalate it, and got an email saying:

"As required by the relevant Sales Tax Laws in the US, the marketplace facilitator is required to collect Sales Tax on foreign sales into some states and remit such tax to the relevant state tax authorities. The Sales Tax includes the State and Local components of the tax, and is normally taxed at the applicable tax rates based on the destination of the shipment or delivery as required by the respective States."

OK, yes, but I told you you're charging the wrong rate. How difficult is that to understand?

The easy way is hook this battery with small 12v inverter. Then, use it to charge your 300wh power station. Since, your power power station is only 300wh. If you use the 300 watt inverter, could charge your power station in 1 hour. I find on Amazon 500 watt inverter sale $30 right now. This inverter could charge your power station full in less than 1 hour.

Why go from DC to AC and back to DC? You are wasting energy. Just go directly from the battery to the solar or DC input of the power station.

I tried Overkill the day 3 of them arrived. Is it true you have to delete one battery from the app to find another? I couldn't make it work, but only tried for a little while. It'll be 5 months before I need them. Got the 2x of the flex 4 panel 13w deal using the PP 20% promo in so netted over 1k of solar over 8 panels for $277 shipped.
