Better price than a vitamix or legit better than a vitamix? Sounds too good to be true at that price.

I think all blenders should extend up in the middle to pull thick mixes down to the blades. why did it take a tv brand called ninja to figure that out? wouldnt need the tamp stick if it were done right.

Having a tower blade like ninja limits the RPM, I have put in just peanuts in this blender and it gave me creamy peanut butter in less than a minute . The ninja was just making chunks and that's about it
This high speed blender is a different class

Yeah I don't think ninja has solved it perfectly, but they have the right idea to incorporate something that pulls the stuff that gets stuck up top down to the primary blender.

I guess the conventional wisdom is simple use more liquid in your mix. I just commonly put too much solids and Ice though.

No liquid at all is required. Push down on all four corners aggressively with the tamper to process a smoothie bowl aka pudding such as cauliflower florets + an apple + frozen berries + dry Chia seeds with no added liquid. Eaten with a spoon. No blender can do all of the work for you. Tamper frozen fruit with no added liquid to get sherbet. I use the 32 oz jar w 3" instead of the low 64 w 4" blades for these and for one serving of green juice which of course has ice and water. Tamper until the vortex forms then everything pulls down to the blades. Not going to happen without tampering at full speed. After everything is processed nearly smooth the tamper is still needed to break the air bubble above the blades in a thick mixture to get the vortex going again. The expectation of many that the blender will do all of the work is not realistic.

What do you do when the Gourmia blade-bearing assembly wears out? That's a consumable part in all high speed blenders. Are there any 32 oz or 48 oz containers available? The Vitamix Venturist will likely return at Woot for $180. Even if Gourmia blends well they won't pick it up from your house for 5 years restore it to like new condition and return it to you within 10 days for free as often as necessary. Vitamix is not a one and done warranty which makes them unique.

Feb 7 edit: The $184 Woot! deal is back today for Vitamix Venturist. Before accepting delivery on Gourmia I suggest searching "gourmia blender warranty and support quality". There are more exclusions to the warranty than this thread has up-votes. That's how much confidence Gourmia has in its "Vitamix killer". Why have more than they do?

Aren't the Gourmia products on the low quality, inexpensive kitchen appliances niche?

Yes but their lower quality is mainly in retail . When it comes to online their products are usually higher quality

Not close to the quality. Had one of these and returned it. Fine for soft ingredients and shakes. Doesn't really work for kale or fiberous veggies

I'm not sure if you referring to the gourmia high speed blender or regular
But the high speed blender defenitly is up to vitamix standards . Does a great job on greens and other fibers. I made creamy peanut butter from just peanuts in less than a minute
