What do you do when the Gourmia blade-bearing assembly wears out? That's a consumable part in all high speed blenders. Are there any 32 oz or 48 oz containers available? The Vitamix Venturist will likely return at Woot for $180. Even if Gormia blends well they won't pick it up from your house for 5 years restore it to like new condition and return it to you within 10 days for free as often as necessary. Vitamix is not a one and done warranty which makes them unique.
Do your blenders wear out within 5 years? You are proposing spending 80% more to extend a warranty. That doesn't seem slick.
...But the high speed blender defenitly is up to vitamix standards ...
Why not answer the questions which others have put to you instead of focusing only on the power? Gourmia is likely the best choice for folks who often move leaving their stuff behind and for those with limited blending needs served by a single large container which isn't replaceable. It's not equivalent to Vitamix if you must replace the entire blender when consumable parts like the blade bearings and container seals require replacement or for users like myself who regularly use 3 different containers.
Shipping weight claimed is 8.8 which is about half that of Vitamix. It takes horsepower not merely watts or high rpm under zero load to be considered a high power blender. Horsepower is not mentioned in the ad copy. How about a link to a single professional unbiased video review showing how it liquifies tough fibrous veggies or chicken bones? I would have ignored this thread if it had not made fraudulent claims about being equally capable to Vitamix. Comments in every blender thread are always from the same two camps: people who are looking for drink machines and people who process natural food.
No liquid at all is required. Push down on all four corners aggressively with the tamper to process a smoothie bowl aka pudding such as cauliflower florets + an apple + frozen berries + dry Chia seeds with no added liquid. Eaten with a spoon. No blender can do all of the work for you. Tamper frozen fruit with no added liquid to get sherbet. I use the 32 oz jar w 3" instead of the low 64 w 4" blades for these and for one serving of green juice which of course has ice and water. Tamper until the vortex forms then everything pulls down to the blades. Not going to happen without tampering at full speed. After everything is processed nearly smooth the tamper is still needed to break the air bubble above the blades in a thick mixture to get the vortex going again. The expectation of many that the blender will do all of the work is not realistic.
Confused! I did not receive a 32 oz container with the Gourmia model. Are you referring to something else? TY.

You didn't receive a 32 oz container because Gourmia doesn't offer one. You were repeating something you had heard and assumed it to be 'conventional wisdom'.
Perhaps you can share with us why Gourmia ad copy claims that Vitamix "has no tamper", "impossible to blend thick mixtures" ,"is disruptive loud with no insulation", "is hard to clean", "has limited options and only toggle switches".
I'm trying to uncover a mystery here. If Gourmia is as powerful as claimed then why is Gourmia taking up the entire page depicting the 3 Easy Essential Steps to Joy Juice: Slice cucumber to 1/8". Put in Container with lettuce. Press button. Huh?
Why is Gourmia hiding it's "built-in tamper" from us? Why is Gourmia "easier to clean"?
And the biggest mystery of all: 42 up-votes. Why? Because it "Blends dense powders" and has "aircraft grade stainless steel blades" LMAO but surely not as hard as the comrades are over in the PRC.

You seem obsessed and biased against gourmia without any proof
I don't know if it will last as long as a vitamix but neither do you . The performance is equal to vitamix regardless of you personal biased opinions. And that's a fact
So for 99 bucks. It's definitely worth a shot and from my personal experience it lives up to the vitamix standards
You seem obsessed and biased against...without any proof
My thoughts exactly. Take ownership of your spurious claims by linking us to live recorded video showing this vitamix-killer in action. Deep search turns up zero footage. I've done nothing but ask questions.

..And that's a fact...
Gourmia shows us how its blender is to be used. They dedicate a full page display ad insulting our intelligence by instructing users to slice cucumber paper thin prior to blending green lettuce juice.
We're shown the blender container full of soft fruit in another frame.
Then there is a drawing of what can only be a Vitamix with false claims about it in bold below with care taken not to print "Vitamix".
Ad copy which is obviously censored and approved for release by the Gourmia legal team hoping to prevent being sued for false advertising.
