Community Reviews
Pennzoil Ultra Platinum and other full synthetic jugs can net a strong effective price, especially when the $30 prepaid card is paired with Walmart or AutoZone pricing. The oil is described as a solid choice for high mileage and specialty applications, and the rebate has paid out cleanly for some claims. The main catch is that the offer is store only, with online pickup, Instacart, and some receipt formats causing trouble. Rebate approvals also seem inconsistent, so receipt details and status checks matter.

HARD NO on the rebates for this. I am STILL fighting to get the correct rebate amount back from last year. I should have received $30, I got $10... after months of emails and calls I have given up on getting the rest. I bought IN STORE, sent the receipt immediately, and it's just been a $hit show working with them.
I have done rebates my entire life and I do not recall any other instance where I've not gotten the correct amount until this one. NEVER, EVER again with these people... F them.
I do my oil changes at 5K miles.
Haven't had any problems with Pennzoil rebates.
My Walmart is listed on the Rebate App Online.
My problem is all the numbers on the Walmart Receipt. Asks for Receipt/Invoice Number.
I'm giving them the TC# above the barcode on the receipt. (5 sets of 4 numbers)
Any advice/confirmation?
Probable user error.

Yes, it is confusing, however, I'm pretty sure the TC you mentioned is the correct one, but I'd advise checking back with the rebate site every so often to verify acceptance.
Purchases Made in a Walmart U.S. Store
For items purchased in a Walmart U.S. store, we will match the price of the identical item advertised on Walmart.com. (Restrictions apply – see below)
The following conditions and limitations apply:
The customer must inform the Walmart associate of the price at the time of checkout.
The identical item (i.e., size, model, quantity, brand, or color, etc.) must be currently in-stock and available to purchase on Walmart.com at the time the Price Match is requested.
Some price match transactions require a Walmart supervisor approval, which could lead to an extended transaction time to validate the eligibility of the requested price match before the price will be matched. We reserve the right to limit quantities to one-per-customer, per item, per day.
Quantities are limited in New Mexico only for the purchase for resale.
Price match of items sold on Walmart.com are not available in Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico.
Sorry, we do not match:
Competitor's online or in-store prices
Walmart.com prices that are on special events (including but not limited to clearance, Rollback, Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals, or other limited-time promotions)
Prices from Walmart Marketplace Retailers or third-party Sellers
Bundle offers, Instant Rebates, Mail-in Offers, Offers that include financing, Advertisements that require a purchase to receive a gift card, Percentage Off, or Buy One Get One Free advertisements without a specified price
Prices from other Walmart or Neighborhood Market stores
The Walmart Store Manager on duty has the final decision on any Price Match.
Walmart reserves the right to change the terms of this Policy at any time.

I bought API SE/SF oil in the 80s, 50-80 cents per quart. Used this oil in my 2008 Corolla for about 70K miles. No issue today @ +210K miles. Engine burns ~1/4 quart of oil at 6K OCI. Long term fuel trim ~1.5%. All OEM parts except for spark plugs, intake gasket, valve cover gasket, PCV, air filter, battery, tires, and belt. Well built engines are not picky about oil. No problem with 0W30 up 20W50 oil.
Most modern engines fail due to stuck low-tension piston rings and cylinder deactivation. Excessive OCI plays a major contribution role in stuck piston rings. Manufacturers push out long OCI to reduce the cost of ownership. It's your problem once the warranty expires.
