Fyi, Hyper is sold by Walmart & Bestbuy so expect the kind of quality sporting good you associate with those two companies. Great starter ebike, probably only good for a few years of light- moderate use.

However this is the lowest I can recall seeing a mid-drive ebike from a legit brand. Mid-drives leverage the gear range, making a 250W mid drive perform well above 500W hub drives. Europe is e-bike crazy and they generally only use 250W mid-drives. I don't see mention of a torque sensor so its probably a cadence sensor, no surprise at this price.

Just be aware that thanks to idjits who FAFOd in New Jersey, everyone on an ebike needs a license, which sets the age floor at 15yro.

This is probably true, although it's worth pointing out that on the Walmart website, the seller is VIPOutlet, the same seller as the ebay listing in the OP (that is, you probably can't pick one up in-store, and you won't get Walmart's return policy either). Also, I don't know if that's any worse than the noname bikes that are frequently listed here.

Walmart is $313 with free shipping. I'll pass, replacing the battery may be a pain, want one with swapable batteries. But does seem like a solid deal.

lol. Also doesn't come with HDMI.

The weight and watts are not the low point on this bike. I wish the weight of any of my current ebikes were as low as 50 lbs.
