Just want to say I loved this book when I was around 15 (25 years ago), not sure how well it holds up but it was one of my favorite Crichton books back then

100%. This is a great book. I haven't read it in more than a decade, but I would definitely get it to read.

I didn't like this book at all and I'm a Crichton fanatic.

Considering how old this book is, you can probably save your money and just check it out electronically from Hoopla or Libby. Check with your local public library for more info.

I also really enjoyed this book when I listened to the audiobook years ago. I also felt it ended decently as opposed as many of Crichton's books that end horribly IMO.

Another vote for this book, incredibly fast paced and very fun. I can see why it doesn't "feel" like a Crichton book though.
Big recommendation for the book, and stay away from the movie.

Controversially, I liked Timeline better than Sphere and Congo.
