I use it on my commutes in the morning rather than waste time in the bathroom. I used to use every other day but find I have to use every day now. They aren't the closest shave, but get the job done.
and no, I haven't ventured into using this for my rooster! but this, with the accessories, should work just fine.

Personally, if you're looking for something like this, I'd skip and get one with all the attachments for general trimming, nose hairs etc. much more useful.
I've had one for years and it's still going strong, doesn't pull hair.. Tbh I never use the shaver, and have used the trimmer frequently to clean up sideburns, mustache and beard, and shave the head too although the attachment is smaller than a regular hair cutting buzzer.

Besides if you're really gonna clean the rooster you'll need the trim and polish attachments
