i used something like this a few shavers ago. decent price on this if you're just starting out to try these things. this is only 7D (7 razor heads). I'm now at 9D. And yes, you can get the blades separately. These devices, even if using a brand name for bald head shavers, don't last too long in terms of battery life, and sometimes durability varies if it gets dropped.

I use it on my commutes in the morning rather than waste time in the bathroom. I used to use every other day but find I have to use every day now. They aren't the closest shave, but get the job done.
and no, I haven't ventured into using this for my rooster! but this, with the accessories, should work just fine.
