$340 is a pretty hefty discount if it ends up being like new. Decided to get in on this deal and see what kind of luck I get with condition. Could always just return it within 2 weeks if it's crap.

There's also the 256 GB version for $90 less for those curious. I decided to get the 512 version though, I think it's worth it in the long term. That jump from 256 to 512 is usually a $200 upsell from Apple.

Bought an open box 13" 512 M4 from Target last year for a little less than this and it looked and has functioned good as new. I try to overbuy memory on devices I plan to keep for a while, hate hitting against the memory ceiling. Pair this with the Magic Keyboard and you can get through a lot of work without having to boot up a traditional computer.

I grabbed an excellent one from my bb and other than finger prints it was like new. However I can't justify it over my m1. The screen is but I've got my MK which is need to replace too and I just don't see any lag on my m1.

Open box items are not subject to restocking fees when returned.

looks like 13inch M5 512 is also ~27% off for Open Box. Good deal too?

There is only a restocking fee on iPads if it also has cellular.

Grabbed the 256GB version (open box, excellent) a few days ago... This was a no brainer for $70 more. Thanks OP!

It sounds like they don't even bother cleaning it from the pervious owner. I assume the fingerprints easily clean off and not a stain? That's the only worry I have about the space black color, a lot of reviewers say it's a fingerprint magnet, far worse than the silver that hardly ever show fingerprint. I checked the 512 silver open box excellent, and it was $108 more than the space black. I guess the space black isn't as popular a color.

I believe the manufacturers warranty are no longer valid on bb opened box items, only bb's 30 day return policy

It includes the remaining MFG warranty. If it was used for lets say a month, you'd have 11 months left. This can be confirmed in the iPad settings after you set it up.

They still include what is left of the original warranty. If someone else set up the apple product 60 days ago and returned it, and you are now just buying it, then you will have the remainder of the 1 year warranty. If it was never set up and registered with iCloud then you will still have the full 12 months. It's basically the same as if you bought the Apple product used before the original warranty was up. At least this has been my experience with several different apple products that I have bought open box over the years. I highly recommend open box if the price is right.
