This 12.1 inch Onn Pro tablet stands out as a cheap Helio G99 Android 14 slate with a bright, sharp screen and a sturdier, more premium feel than Fire tablets. It handles streaming, browsing, reading, and light gaming well, with 6GB of physical RAM, microSD expansion, Wi Fi 6, and removable bloatware. The main drawbacks are no headphone jack, USB C 2.0 with no video out, and open box condition that can range from spotless to beat up. Some units also show flicker, brightness quirks, Wi Fi instability, or slow updates, so it is best suited to light everyday use.

3 out of 4 speakers would work for me, as long as everything else is GOOD!
Mine comes on Friday!
I got the 4GB RAM slate version. Noticed the onn only has 0.2ghz improvment on cpu and 2GB more RAM. I only use it for web browsing and watching Twitch/Youtube vids. I do notice that 1080 live Twitch streams buffer all the time but not sure if a hardware or wi-fi issue.

not bad at all.
There exist some small hairs on the screen, just cleaned them and it seems good.
Updates are coming one by one. Near all of them are less than 20MB.
Seems to be a good buy, the aluminum body feels good.

Performance seems amazing at this price point. Looks like it got security updates through November 5, 2025.
This case is excellent for $15. Latches closed magnetically, also interacts with the tablet's magnet sensor to turn on/off the display: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DSP2DCRS
I prefer a matte/anti-glare display, so I got these screen protectors, 3 for $9. If you prefer a glossy display, these aren't for you: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DNG2QNFN
For those who like rooting, custom ROMs, etc., it appears that while other Onn tablets have a good developer community around them, this one doesn't: https://xdaforums.com/t/firmware-...sk.4729656
No big deal, as the stock Android 14 works fine. I was just curious what else might be out there.

The background light will automatically become stronger if screen turns to more white. I have disabled autobrightness, power saving and other normal related features, but still no solution for this issue. This is the only pain for me to use it.
Bluetooth disconnected once when connected to my fixed location speaker. Since I don't always use Bluetooth, I am not sure the frequency of the issue.
