I'm not a fan of the cap touch buttons for workouts as they trigger too easily.
The foam tips get dirty fast.
Sound is outstanding.
that said I find myself using my open ear MC1 Pro refurbs way more often than the Sony (more comfortable for many hours of use)
I was very happy with the refurbs and didn't taste or smell any earwax on them during initial inspection.

The foam tips didn't seal well in my ears, regardless of which size I used. I found the silicone tips from an old pair of Jabras attached to these Sony's perfectly and sealed much better to my inner ear, so that's how I used them forever after I figured that out. The foam tips can fit well, but they take a lot of fidgeting and adjustment, whereas the silicone tips just work on the first try.
I had a good enough experience with the battery life, but I didn't usually wear them for more than three or four hours straight aside from the occasional super long flight. Be careful with batteries in refurb units, they've often had a lot of charge cycles before you got them or didn't have proper charge maintenance before re-sale which can wear the life down very quickly.
My one absolute deal-breaker gripe with these ear buds is the lack of "touch to mute" during a call. It is not an option you can set or configure via software. If you're on a phone call, conference, video, meet/zoom/teams/whatever, you have to mute via the software on the phone instead of being able to touch an ear bud and mute your microphone. I have Jabras and Technics that both have this feature. In my opinion it is the most important thing I will look when shopping for ear buds. I'm not sure why Sony or Bose choose not to offer this feature, probably it's patented or something and they're too cheap to license it.
For music/travel-zone-out alone, these are great for $115.
