Pros:
1. If you're lucky, you might get an upgraded 5675u CPU.
2. Type-C PD charging is supported.
3. Equipped with a vivid 17.3 inch IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
4. Large battery capacity (75.01Wh).
5. CPU cooling solution with two heatpipes.
6. Quad speakers.
7. Two RAM slots.
8. Fingerprint recognition possible
9. Equipped with a backlit keyboard
Cons:
1. The display color gamut is low at 63% sRGB.
2. The built-in SSD is an M.2 SATA, so it's roughly 500MB/s (can be replaced with an NVME SSD).
3. The default CPU fan speed is a bit high (adjusting it with the Ryzen control program is recommended).
4. Supports Wi-Fi 5, but the maximum speed is low at 433Mbps.
5. No dedicated Windows support program for Gateway.
"In August 2007, Acer Inc. of Taiwan announced the acquisition of Gateway, Inc., for a US$710 million tender offer. The acquisition was finalized in October 2007. In the interim, MPC Corporation announced that it had signed a deal to acquire Gateway's Professional Services Unit—which manufactured and designed the company's servers, network-attached storage devices, and workstations—for approximately $90 million. This MPC deal was also finalized in October 2007.
Following the acquisition, Acer used both Gateway and eMachines as sub-brands for several years. Many of Acer's most popular lines of personal computers, including netbooks, were rebadged as Gateway machines for midrange consumers, while the eMachines line was kept for budget consumers. In 2013, the company discontinued the eMachines brand, citing the proliferation of tablet computers and 2-in-1 laptops among the low‑end computer market. They continued selling computers under the Gateway and Packard Bell brands — the latter being one of Gateway's former rival computer manufacturers, until it became a sister trademark after Acer acquired it in 2008. Soon afterward, however, the Gateway brand was also discontinued.
In September 2020, Acer revived the Gateway branding on laptops and tablets sold exclusively through Walmart. Acer commissioned Bmorn Technology, a Shenzhen-based technology company, to manufacture and sell these Gateway branded laptops. The new line of laptops is a rebadging of Walmart's existing EVOO-branded laptops. The laptops' sound systems are tuned in partnership with THX."

The response time seems to be slower, and the internet speed test also seems slower other than that it works fine. I played YouTube video and it looks good.
Great price, thanks OP!

My restart issues resolved themselves and if I want the laptop to be quieter, I just change the Windows power setting to energy saver and that helps a lot. I too will be adding an 8GB stick next week. They aren't too expensive on Ebay. Overall, for an email/Youtube/MS Office laptop, I'm fairly impressed. The screen and brightness is quite good. Ryzen cpu feels quite snappy. Thanks OP!

Edit: Other notes. Had a Rayson m.2 2280 256GB sata drive. Didn't test but sata is 550MB/s. So putting a Gen3+ mvme would net you 5-7x better interface speed. (pcie 3x4 3938 MB/s) The WD SN740 1tb drive I put in did 3727 MB/s read 3236 MB/s write showing the drive is limited. (gen3) The WD on pcie 4x4 would do 5150 MB/s read 4900 MB/s write.
5) To Schmide: -The BIOS does have a multi-point fan curve settting page, its not for the faint of heart though. I recommend software fan control for all but folks more hardcore than me. Myself though, I'm leaving the fan's aggressive curve active for performance while plugged in, because the laptop is waay more quiet running with the lid closed like I do. And I want those extra rpm's available with the change I DID make in the BIOS from 15 watt limited, to 25 watt limit. Here's where the setting is hiding in the BIOS's drop down menu screens: Arrow right to Advanced, arrow down to AMD CPS, enter, arrow down to NBIO Common Options, enter, arrow down to SMU Common Options, enter, arrow down to System Configuration (going right past fan control), enter, arrow to and enter on your power limit option selection, and of course back out selecting Save and Exit. Mine was set at 15w as delivered, 25w works stable, cool and faast for me, 10w, 15w, 25w, 35w, (and amazingly 45w & 54w) are the options. 25 watt SHOULDN'T be a big deal as long your not using mayonaise for thermal compound. NotebookCheck's review of the Ryzen 5675U says most vendors set it to 25w on their laptops anyway, and it's peak wattage is 28-32w depending on your source. If I ever run it limited at 35w I'll repaste it with exotic thermal compound. 45w wouldn't perform higher than 35w cuz it would just thermal throttle if it even ran stable, unless maybe you were watercooling this CPU in a desktop or something. 54w? dunno, maybe liquid nitrogen cooling... Here's my 1st 2 benchmark runs to show how fast this "Gateway" runs at 25w even before my dual channel RAM kit for it gets here in the mail (it'll have way faster graphics & slightly uplifted CPU performance too, then) --->
