I don't buy keys here on Slickdeals. Sure, will activate but it's a 'grey' key. Microsoft doesn't sell their products for $12.
There's always comments or questions about why Slickdeals allows these types of things here, and it's been answered that they simply get a cut.

Nice deal! Have purchased keys like this years ago on an older PC (Office 2016 version) and on that PC it is still fully functional (over 8 years ago!). Now if you have Microsoft 365 email from work, you don't need these keys. Microsoft allows you to install the latest versions of Office on up to 5x computers (with one being your work computer). Main downside is that if you leave that job or get fired, that copy will stop working in a few weeks. At $12, even if it only works for a few months or a year, worth the price. Last tidbit of wisdom, if you want to skip all that Microsoft BS just download and install "OpenOffice". 100% free Office suite. Some things will look a bit different but you can open Microsoft documents and spreadsheets and won't have to pay for productivity software again. Can donate if you appreciate them!

I have bought digital keys for many products before and there is never a problem. Digital key after installation is verified with the servers. It is not a hack.

It will work on Windows 10...this listing and the seller website both state ..."Windows 10 or Windows 11 OS only". And based on my own experience, it will run on the "Pro" version of either OS as well.

Only down side is MS dropped Publisher when they moved from Office 2021 to Office 2024...the listing and seller site both correctly state the included apps but the image on both sites incorrectly shows the Publisher icon.

I don't have direct experience with this specific seller but have been using this type of MS Office license for years going back to Office 2016, and I've never had an issue with a license being terminated.

However calling any of these non-subscription based Office programs "lifetime" is a bit misleading. You can run them on almost any Windows OS thru Windows 11 for as long as you'd like, but Microsoft only supports each edition for 5 years. I'm currently running Office 2021 on all of my computers but Microsoft support will end on October 13, 2026, so I'll need to change over to Office 2024 at that point. And then Office 2024 support will run until October 2029.

And while general support for Windows 10 has ended, MS is providing subscription-based support (ESU) to Windows 10 users.

A consumer home user can extend support on up to 10 computers until October 13, 2026 for a one-time fee of $30 or free in some cases (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/w...ty-updates)

Can you apply the key directly at MS or do you have to use the link provided by the seller? I noticed the last purchase I had to run their script to activate and there would be some instance left on my computer and who know what it does. Would be great if the key can be activated direct with MS.

When I installed MSO 2023 Pro, I was required to login or create a MS account in order to use it. Is this not the case with the MSO 20224 Pro being offered here on SD?
