Bought this last time, same price etc. Oiled and charged before first use. Not sure if I am doing anything wrong, but for a simple beard trim from about 4mm down to 3mm, it was snagging on not-thick beard hair. Haven't tried anything else yet, but not a good first impression.

This was my experience. I tried to use the bigger comb to trim my beard and it kept snagging, which was extremely annoying and uncomfortable.

I just use the smaller trimmer now to cut my beard down, but that won't work for anyone trying to trim to different lengths.

Also means you have to keep two devices charged and handy if you use the bigger one for your hair and such.

There was a Philips Norelco on the FP that might work better.

I bought this combo months ago after seeing it on Slickdeals. I thoroughly enjoy both! I use the smaller on my face and for travel. The larger for my head. Both work flawlessly, clean easily, and the numerical charge indicator is very nice. My experience has been outstanding.

Do you mean unscrew the blades off and clean and put back together? I had a corded Wahl before this and took apart a few months back. Had quite a bit of hair in the crevices, I had no idea. I got this for Christmas and have used a few times, works great! My old Wahl attachments fit the bigger trimmer, so that's good. The ones that come with it are a tad flimsy, but it's not that big of a deal. I used those in combo with my Wahl ones.

I got these on the last deal and they're fantastic. I keep my hair pretty short (no guards, just metal) and no snags or pulling. They have been great. As for the smaller trimmer I use that for my chest etc and it works just as well as my older Panasonic.

Probably good enough if you don't have thick hair and don't cut your hair often. But for $18, there's no way they have a good battery or strong motor.

The comb that is closed on both ends is actually the handle. The "teeth" are just a design feature (aka cheaping out on the handle by reducing the amount of plastic used).

Agreed I also bought last month and they are great ! Use the small one to knock out most of my facial hair before shaving but cuts smooth and close
