While the current "feeling" is that 8GB is not enough, for many, it will still suffice. So, I think this is an ok deal and likely the huge discount is due to the believe that gaming is "impossible" on 8GB. Which isn't true, as I and many others have 8GB, and stats show the vast majority have 8GB or... even much less.

Agreed completely. IMO 8GB is fine if you don't expect to max out every single game at 1440p in all ultra settings....you might to, occasionally, have to back off a 1 or 2 settings to high ...(gasp!).

But honestly if you expect a $260 GPU, 8GB of ram or not, to handle every current game and be "future proofed" until the 2027+....you probably can't be reasoned with to begin with.

FWIW, recently upgraded my OLD 4060 8GB and even that could do 1440p in most games. The 5060 that replaced it is even better. I can only imagine the 9060 being similar. Would I prefer 16GB of ram? Sure! Did I want to pay double for similar performance just because a game or two MIGHT need a few extra gigs once in a while? Nope. But I also had no intent on building a $2000 gaming rig nor did I expect my performance to be equal to one.
