$100 less, not too bad.
Hoping they start selling the B version!

At this price, wouldn't c4 be a better buy?

Depends on feature priorities & cost difference.
Here is a comparison that should help.

No, this TV is equivalent to the LG G4 since it is an MLA OLED. Hits nearly 1800 nits. Plus has Panasonic's world class out of box accuracy, upscaling, ATSC 3.0 tuner, and only OLED with both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. Plus a pretty solid built-in sound system. One of the best TVs you can buy. I bought this a month ago when it was $1299 and it was well worth it. This is basically as good as it gets for the money.

Gen 1 model. Not nearly as good as the Gen 2.

Absolutely beautiful TV. I bought a Sony Bravia 8 last year after picking it over the Panasonic Z85 in what was basically a coin flip. If I had seen a Z95 for this price I would have bought it for sure. I would have paired it with a Roku Ultra or 4K Stick because I hate the Fire TV interface, but would have been fine with that. As mentioned already, you probably won't find a better picture for the price.

Is this as good as the old Panasonic Plasma TV's for watching sports? Am not sure how OLED does with live sports broadcasts... Am a big fan of Panasonic engineering and simplicity but not sure about the underlying display technology in this case.

Gen 1 = $1199.00 - Gen 2 $1899.00 I don't think there is a $700.00 difference. I have the Gen 1, (Z95A) & it is as good as the LG G4 per My eyes. This very well could be the buy of the year, when it was first introduced it was over $2400, I am not compensated in anyway, this is a strong buy and will not last long at this price.

No contest. This is convincingly a better TV overall on most parameters. As someone else mentioned the G4 is a closer competition.

Well gen 2 uses the same tandem Oled panel as the G5.
That panel rivals Sony's QD-Oled and rivals their processing.
It's a solid jump up, now if it's worth it is a completely personal choice.

Yes I understand the tandem Oled qualities first hand, I design and install home theater installs privately, I am retired from Time Warner Cable and had plenty of training in the area of Home Theater. As for the 3 units You refer to, they all are north of $2200.00 dollars, IMO only about 1 in 3 will say go ahead and spend the extra $1,000, they mostly are the ones who say money don't matter, just having the best is. The other 2/3rd's of the people, (or wife) says save the money. LOL. Thanks for the reply.
