Seems like a decent buy if you're a regular flashlight user. You'll save money on batteries.

However, if you're looking for an emergency flashlight to have on hand in case of power outages, one that you'll use maybe use once or twice a year, if that, a standard battery flashlight is a better option because alkaline batteries have a great shelf life, whereas rechargeables self discharge overtime, even if not in use. So, if you find yourself grabbing this in an emergency after a long period of storage, you could be in for a disappointment.

After reading some of the Amazon Vine reviews, I'd have to pass on this one. Feels like somebody's just trying to dump a bunch of duds.

big caveat — lumen claims (major deduction): The advertised 10,000 lumens on Boost mode is almost certainly massively overstated, as is common with budget/mid-tier flashlights. Independent testing sources and flashlight enthusiast communities (e.g., 1Lumen.com, Reddit's r/flashlight) consistently show that true sustained 10,000-lumen handheld flashlights are rare and usually much more expensive (often requiring larger bodies, multiple batteries, or active cooling). Most "10,000 lumen" claims from brands like this peak briefly (if at all) and drop quickly — often to 1,000–3,000 lumens or less in reality.

Haven't touched an alkaline battery in the last 15 years! Just went through a week long power outage (Tennesee winter storm Fern) and 100% relied on rechargeable lanterns and flashlights! old NIMH batteries had really bad self discharge rates but modern rechargeable are much better than old school rechargeable! My absolute most favorite light during the power outage was an 18650 powered headlamp! If you want to go with standard AA or AAA powered ANYTHING just buy Enloop rechargeables they have low self discharge and I am even using them in every TV remote or other long use type items like my keypad door locks and basically anything that I can't just buy as rechargeable and they work super great!

More than 1 review saying issues with the power button I would avoid. At the very least most of the Slick Deals I see on Woot are the same price as Amazon a couple weeks later and Amazon has a much better return policy if you do get one that has issues ! No need to reply and argue if you disagree you just go do whatever you want I won't stop you Stick Out Tongue

I think chances are someone reading a post for a / any $35 flashlight is in as an enthusiast and not for the emergency scenario, and are probably already covered as far as those go.
It might also be noted that to really prepare you don't want it sitting around for so long without checking anyway, at a certain point that's just the opposite of preparing.

Any time I've used a device once or twice a year, the alkaline batteries always leak. I've lost a studfinder and multiple flashlights and game controllers to leaking batteries Frown

yea I have had the same thing happen to me. Buy Enloop rechargeable batteries they never ever leak. I found some in a remote in the bottom of a drawer that I hadn't used in 5 years. They still recharged and are currently in use! I wont use alkaline ( or any disposable batteries ) anymore. Well not true I do have 10 year lithium batteries in my smoke detectors but they are sensitive to the low voltage (1.2v vs 1.5 alkaline) and were constantly giving me low battery beeps so had to fix that
Don't want to be the guy who's smoke detector is always beeping! You often can clean up the contacts where the alkaline battery leaked out and get the product working again but it can be a pain and can't always be done depending how bad the leak was.
