It's an ok deal if you've never played it before but they've made a remastered version and this is the original.
There's no remastered version of RDR2.
I wouldn't buy it because there's almost certainly one coming up in the future, or at least a 60 fps patch, but knowing Rockstar they'll charge for it in the same way they did with GTA V.
Counterpoint: Rockstar did not charge for the 4K60 RDR remaster and Rockstar is not developing new content or investing in an expanded online service for RDR2.
A performance patch for existing owners and a price increase for new next gen copies is more likely and follows with what Rockstar did with the original.
If that's so, you should absolutely buy a copy now before the price goes up. If for some bizarre reason they decide to charge $10 without adding any new content, then don't upgrade and be happy you bought it when it was $15 instead of $50.

RDR2 is still the best looking, most complete single player open world video game in existence - 8 years later. Nothing has really came close to the scope/scale of it and nothing will until GTA6.
Play it on PC though if you can. It goes on sale for $15 all the time.
