I dont understand the obsession with a backlit keyboards. You cannot see them with your fingers. and if you are looking for the keys, a laptop probably is not for you anyway. They teach "keyboarding" in 1st grade most places now, today's kids can type sight unseen before they can spell correctly.

Typing is one thing but every laptop key layout is different and finding those rarely used keys in the dark can be difficult.
