How would this do for in ground use? Have some large roots and plants I want to get rid of.

I recommend a reciprocating saw with a pruning blade. The dirt will dull the chain too fast. I had to put in 20 fence posts, where there used to be woods. The recip saw with the pruning blade was my favorite option for roots.

I have three chainsaws. Gas Stihl, Electric DeWalt, and an electric Kobalt pole chainsaw. They all leak bar/chain oil. So did the previous two gas chainsaws I owned.

I have a Milwaukee saw similar size and it does. I think they all leak from the bar port where it oils the chain.

Yes. So does the 12in. So does my Milwaukee 16in and also my Milwaukee pole saw.

They're pretty much all going to leak.
