Yeah I have the Echo Show 10 in my kitchen, the one that rotates and what not. The UI sucks and it really doesn't do much but tell time, weather and offer me a timer. I got in on a trade in deal and wouldn't buy another.
If they'd give these a more tablet like interface and some actual apps they'd be alright. The sound quality is good, but I have a great stereo so I never play music on it.
Just FYI, I looked into the fire OS on the 15/21, its equivalent to android 9 (pie), so those who are considering side loading the Google Play store, u will be very limited on what you can install

It's awful. Before I would say "Alexa show me my shopping list" and it would reply "Here is your shopping list" and show it on screen. Now I ask the exact same thing and it replies "You have 8 things on your shopping list. Here are the first 5 items. The first is Milk. The second is Bread. The third....." and it goes through the five items then asks if I want to list the rest. I didn't want you to list the first five let alone the rest....just show me the list.
Huge downgrade.
Yeah it seems to assume what you want more often than actually understanding. "Show me the list" is very different than "read me/tell me the list". It doesn't care.

These seem more expensive than Echo devices in the past--anyone know what the value add is? My old $10-$20 Echo Dots still work perfectly for my needs...

No it hasn't, I used it literally within the last hour and it still struggles. If I disable the alexa+ its snappy again. You have no idea what you are talking about, only what you have read.
There are indeed still things alexa+ cannot do that old alexa use to be able to do, and alexa+ is knoticably slower then old alexa when responding to commands.
So no it has not "been fixed", but there are definitely still pros and cons. On pro though, it is definitely better figuring out what devices I'm referring to (when you have a LOT of devices)
That was helpful. The website shows $189.99 and $79.99 in big type and then under it it has a green offer button with the $109.99 and $49.99 pricing that is easy to miss if you aren't looking for it.

Highly YMMV. Show the banner on the Show 11, click the ATC button on the program page end up with $179.99 in cart (current sale price). Same with the Show 15 $254.99 (current sale price). No extra amount off in checkout. Maybe it's not fully rolled out yet.
The process differs slightly from the usual. Click on the link above, then scroll down to access the devices in the deal. Each one will have two buttons below it. The bottom one is the usual "Order Now' button, and above it is an "Apply Discount" (IIRC) button which is grayed out unless you click on it. Once you do, the color will change. When you click on the "Order Now" button, the discount is applied at checkout.
The process is different from the usual Amazon purchase process.
Was pleasantly surprised with the offer. 50% off and it automatically adds a trade in 20% cash back and qualifies for the 0% five payments offer. It didn't let me pick the trade-in device and first it want it one of my Echo Show devices with a screen for $40 I backed out and went back in and was able to send an Old Dot for the same trade in. I got the Echo Show 21 for $200 with another $40 back for the echo Dot trade-in. Using the payment plan it was $56 down. Thank you op
