Yeah I have the Echo Show 10 in my kitchen, the one that rotates and what not. The UI sucks and it really doesn't do much but tell time, weather and offer me a timer. I got in on a trade in deal and wouldn't buy another.

If they'd give these a more tablet like interface and some actual apps they'd be alright. The sound quality is good, but I have a great stereo so I never play music on it.

Just FYI, I looked into the fire OS on the 15/21, its equivalent to android 9 (pie), so those who are considering side loading the Google Play store, u will be very limited on what you can install

So those of us who bailed on Alexa+ because it sucked so badly before the beta window closed are SOL for the latest home spyware gadget.

Everyone complaining about Alexa+, meanwhile I'm happy she actually knows something for once. The old Alexa knew Jack s*** from a knowledge standpoint

They're far from struggling with profits. They made $77.7B in net income in 2025, a jump of 31% from 2024.

Alexa+ is direct competition with ChatGPT so why would Amazon spend the $200B they've earmarked this year for AI spending to help them?

A good deal on Echo Dot Max IF you get the offer. Currently selling for $80 on Amazon.
But NO offer available for me. I could not stand Alexa Plus, I only lasted 30 minutes.

These are e-waste just waiting for recycling. I have a 15" Show and it's nothing more than a billboard for Amazon. I have a Firewalla and DNS filter trying to block ads but Amazon obviously puts more resources into their ad engine than Alexa. It's just way too much. So the 15 is getting rooted or kiosked to be used as a home assistant control board when I have time.

Echo Show 21, is $349 (reg $399), and I had a coupon on the page for $150 off, for an upgrade. Didn't make me trade anything in, after clicking $150 off. After I bought it, screen now shows 20% off with Trade-in, so definitely a YMMV.
