I have two.
MSRP was $1600 and then went on sale for $800 on the usual Klipsch sales.
The finish is gloss black, and it is gorgeous. I love watching the rocking passive radiators on the side.
You do need the app for it which I believe can be downloaded for apple users without an issue but for android users you need to find the APK file on google. Just search up Klipsch Low Control 1.5 and you will find it.
I used to have an SVS SB2000pro and I sold that right after I tried two of these. These hit harder and tighter. The svs did go lower, but after all the demo movies that everyone is using for LFE the only difference I heard was the last deep tone in the beginning of Edge of Tomorrow, and while there was a difference, I found the constant, tighter bass more enjoyable. (Think of it as top speed vs acceleration on a curvy track)
Attaching the measurement when I compared it to other 12" klipsch subs.
If you are looking for small, sexy, tight and punchy sub you can not beat this in my opinion. I would get two.
Disregard the door. It sucks it's there, but we do not use it. No one is walking by. Max pizza delivery guy knocks there once or twice a year.

So an update to this post. I wanted to try to get the IP control support to work and reached out to Klipsch Support and got a surprising response, which they said I could repost:
These subwoofers were manufactured 7 years ago. They are older, we unfortunately do not have a record of the app nor was there any documentation besides the spec sheet for them.
They arrived to us already manufactured. There are no recorded TCP/IP protocols. This subwoofer was controlled by an app that no longer is supported by the app store / play store.
We would recommend controlling it from the audio source sending audio to it.
I would recommend returning since you cannot use those functions

Maybe it sounds great as you say, but I would be concerned about after the sale support if the amp dies on you, as it appears that Klipsch no longer supports it. Hopefully these subs don't have the horrible amp failure issues that pre-RP series Klipsch subs have become notorious for, as it seems to be made by a different contractor. Lastly, sounds like the Android version of this app is no longer supported by the Google Play store.
