The batteries in these are horrendous. Both batteries on mine burned out after 4 regular uses. Nothing crazy either.

My experience is totally different. I bought it once to try out because it's too good to be true for the price. After I cleaned up my yard, I bought another one for the replacement parts if needed in the future. It got stuck maybe you didn't let the gravity do the work. Even big chainsaw also got stuck and burned if you work against gravity. I always trim the trunks from the top down or at least let the gravity pull the cut side apart.

It doesn't surprise me for this price but mines been fine. Honestly I have no idea how they can sell this thing for this price.

Bought this to use the batteries on my Tietoc Chainsaw 6 Inch. I believe the batteries are interchangeable, and add the case and extra parts from this. Can't go wrong..

This is cheaper than and extra Tietoc battery. This is saw I am referencing: https://slickdeals.net/f/18623479-6-tietoc-mini-electric-cordless-chainsaw-w-battery-charger-18-free-shipping?src=SiteSearch

I have this and think it's fantastic. Bought one for a fried and he was very disappointed. I think you have to have reasonable expectations and it will perform very well.

I've been using it to do trail work. Most cutting branches and chaparral. Manzanita is hard but this will chew through 4-6" sections at a good speed. It's not a big gas saw, but it seems to punch above it's class. No issues with batteries and they seem to last about as long as you would expect from their size.
I did notice a drop in performance once the chain was dull. I used a round file (the one included isn't very good) and was able to bring the cutting edge back. The original chain has lasted multiple days of hard work. I clean the saw and oil the chain after each use. I've purchased a 4 pack of replacement chains from Amazon for $10.

I'm with you - I've only used mine sparingly, but it's done much better better than I expected

These things aren't actually that bad if you know their limitations and make sure that the chain is oiled.I have a different brand, it worked really good by itself when you were holding it, but if I tried to attach it to the extendable pole that came with it, the second experience, any resistance, it snapped at the base of the handle Most of these models look the same so probably rebrandedI think you just have to determine when a chainsaw is necessary versus a sawzall or pruner . If you're just trying to prune trees, the chainsaw will leave it pretty rough cut. The kit that I bought, the one where the chainsaw broke, came with an extendable pole, as well as a battery pruner The pruner was my favorite, it mostly worked with trimming branches about 1 inch thick. Once I trim those, I was able to trim them continuously into smaller chunks so they fit in my green waste to recycling bin. If I had more property size and could burn stuff I wouldn't need to cut them so small but the pruner is really greatBut getting back to the post/subject. The chainsaw I had which looked exactly the same as this, but a different brand. Worked really well when you're holding it. You have to make sure the oil the chain often with bar chain oil. Some people might complain about that, but it's not really a big deal.

Bought one before. This is a very weak saw. It gets stuck constantly. With no handles in this saw, your best shot is to buy a bypass lopper. HD sells Fiskars lopper at a regular price of $19.98 with much more control and safer than this one.
looks like a pos

I use my Makita batteries on mine and it works great. I made over 100 cuts over a couple hours on one battery. I only made few cuts with the batteries it came with. They seemed fine but I went with my Makita knowing it was full charge and would last longer. I actually love this saw.
Just got mine. The nice case will fit in my ATV box just fine. I tested it with a Makita battery and it worked great! As I have found with any aftermarket battery I have experimented with in the past, the fit leaves a little bit desired, but a little shove and it works fine. I'm kinda excited about this $20 unit - not gonna lie. For my very occasional needs, it should work well.

Crazy that just adding a pole to it makes it six times more expensive.

I got one last time for $20 and would buy one again in a heartbeat. Works great well worth it, especially for ice storm clean up.
