So For most microphone recording applications, 48 kHz is the best, Really versatile sample rate, offering high-quality audio for video, streaming, and professional voiceover. But 44.1 kHz is the standard for music CDs and basic audio recordings. The Higher rates (96 kHz+) are rarely needed, consuming more CPU and storage without audible benefits.

I have this mic for my business (not music recording or anything) and it does a fantastic job for teams/zoom meetings. It picks up well and my voice is really clear. Way better than most mics on a USB headset

If you're recording casually, 44.1KHz was the choice for CDs because it easily covers the human-audible frequency range. If you're going to be editing it for film, or doing post-processing like slowing it down, you might choose 48kHz.

Unless you're recording material to be slowed down radically, or played for bats or dolphins, there isn't much reason to go higher than that. And of course the microphone itself will have its own physical frequency range limit.

I have this for Business purposes. Zoom meetings, Webex, Teams, Conference Calls, etc. Works well for that purpose.

Probably not good enough for someone recording music, Content creators, Podcasters, etc. But perfectly fine for Business meetings.

Would this be an audible upgrade over the built-in mic of a Logitech c920?

How well does this do for exterior noises, like picking up noises from a different room i.e. a crying baby/outside sirens/etc?
